Wingsuit for aerofly FS

Installation

To install the aircraft decompress the zip-achieve and move the folder “wingsuit”
into the user folder of the aerofly FS into the subdirectory “aircraft”.
The user folder is usually located in your own documents (“C:\Users\~\Documents\aerofly FS”) and
the aerofly Wiki provides further information about it:
aeroflyWiki/UserFolder

Example:
“C:\Users\~\Documents\aerofly FS\aircraft\wingsuit\wingsuit.tmd”

The aircraft uses sound files from default aircraft. And because the sounds of the default aerofly FS aircraft
are copyrighted they are not included in this download. They have to be copied over manually and here is the
description on how to do that.

The files of all default aircraft are located within the installation folder of the aerofly FS.
This is the folder where the aerofly main executable is located.
Follow the link to the aerofly Wiki to get further information about the installation folder:
aeroflyWiki/InstallationFolder

From “InstallationFolder\aircraft\cessna172” copy the wind.tsb file into the “wingsuit” folder.

        Hi, thank for the reply!
I’m using Windows 8.1, but I’m not sure how to check my version? (I am playing it on Steam.)

In the aerofly FS there is a menu item “About aerofly FS” which will give you a page with a lot of information. On the top left you can see the aerofly version that you have installed.
But I don’t know if the steam allows additional aircraft. It should, but I have no experience or feedback about that so far.

            Hi Tom,
Thank you for checking that. That is the same version I have, where the wingsuit is working for me, just double checked it.
Did you succeed in installing any other custom made aircraft before and is this the only aircraft that does not work for you?

            Regards,
            Jan

            Hi,
I have tried other aircraft, all of which have failed. However I have only done so on this site. Whenever I do it just spawns as a cessna!

            Hi Tom,

maybe the steam version does not allow for any change or additional aircraft. The tools that are available to us free developers are two or three aerofly generations old… they are from the aerofly 5 from which the aerofly FS was branched off. Then the aerofly FS 1.2 changed a lot of things and next up would be the aerofly FS 2. I am wondering whats that going to change. If you are sure that you did the installation correctly, which should be the case when you can see the aircraft in the selection menu, then it is an issue with the aerofly. If the aircraft is then not loaded properly that indicates a conflicting file structure or a mistake by us free developers. As the wing suit works for the desktop version it can only be a compatibility issue, for which I don’t know any solution to, I am afraid. I will address that when I speak to the aerofly developers again. For now I am very sorry that the loading of the aircraft does not work for you.

            Regards,
            Jan
